TURKIEWICZ, Sophie; Peacefully after a brief battle with cancer at St. Peter�s Hospital, Hamilton on Friday November 4, 2005 of Waterford in her 75th year. Beloved wife of the late James Turkiewicz. Loving mother of Carol (& Michael) Paulino, Hamilton; Jim (& Paula), Brantford; Ron (& Kathryn), Orillia. Cherished Gramma of Joey (& Melissa), Jamie; Karleigh (& Paul), Keaton, Traynor; Skylar & Hunter. Dear sister of Teddy (& Carol) Kocznur, Hamilton; Richie (& Phyllis) Kocznur, Waterford. Sophie along with her husband Jim owned & operated Sophies Restaurant on Alice St. Waterford. Friends may call at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of a Christian Burial will be Wednesday 10am at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish. Fr. Jim Dunne officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Parish prayers Tuesday 6:30pm. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
