Obituary of Rita Verini

RITA KATHERINE VERINI (HARRISON); June 23, 1918-March 19, 2006. Peacefully at the Norfolk General Hospital after a lengthy but courageous battle with cancer, of Waterford. Beloved wife of the late Gerry Verini. Much loved and cherished mother of Dorothy Calbeck (& her late �favorite son-in-law� Jack), Brantford; Betty Young, Kitchener; Paul (& Rita), Waterford; Peter (& Sheila) Caledonia. Much loved grandmother (Grannie) of Stephen (& Janine), David (&Lisa), Susie (& Edgar); Sherrie (& Tom), Sean; John (& Jen), Shena (& Mike); Nolan (& Joanna), Alexis, Monica, & Jordan. Great grandmother of Candice, Scarlett, & Maisie. Special Mom and Grannie to Pauline & John Hinds & family, Newcastle. Will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews who were very special to her as well as her best friend Doreen. Predeceased by daughters Molly, & Nancy, son Douglas, parents Claude & Dorothy Harrison, brother Harold & sister Doris. Mom enjoyed family and visitors anytime, any day. Her special interests were animals, gardening, baking pies, and living life to the fullest. Friends may call at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford, Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel Wednesday at 11am. Rev. Joe Dunkerson officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy the family would appreciate donations to the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children, S.P.C.A., or Norfolk General Hospital.
