SLOAT, Robert (Bob); Peacefully at the Norfolk General Hospital Friday July 21, 2006 of Waterford in his 78th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Valera (Dawdy). Loving father of Marilyn (& Ron) Gordon, Ileen (& Gord) Morningstar, Darlene (& Don) Lancaster, David (& Anita), Bruce (& Lisa). Proud Grandpa of Ron Jr., George; Ron Jr., Roger; Charlene; Nathan, Nikolas, Tabaya; Michael, and Thomas; and great grandchildren Wyatt, Erin, Mellissa, Natasha, and Cody. Survived by 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Predeceased by grandson Robert, 1 sister and 3 brothers. Visitation was held at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford Sunday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Service was held Monday at 2 pm. at Townsend Community Church. Rev. Ken Case officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Donations to T.C.C. Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
