HALYK, Sophie; Peacefully with the love of her family, Monday October 23, 2006, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton, of Waterford in her 81st year. Beloved wife of Alex Halyk. Loving mother of Sharon (& Tony) Larabie, Waterford; Debra (& John) Featherstone, Simcoe; Harry (& Joan Spiegelberg), Toronto. Cherished Baba of Michael (& Melanie), Noel (& Belinda); Rebecca (& Dave), Meghan (& Andre); great grandchildren Julian, & Tyler. Dear sister of Nellie, Fred, Olga (& Tony), Stella, & Sylvia. Predeceased by parents Peter & Mary Rygus, brothers John, & Joseph, & sister Annie. Friends may be received at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford, Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 11am. Fr. Victor Szajkowski officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Panachyda Wednesday at 7:30pm.
