First met Lenny in primary school when he skipped a grade with Richard Procunier and Jeff Saracuse. I knew Lenny when we were kids and used to play together around the Gunstock shop. I remember Science Project day in Gr. 4/5 and Richard Procunier brought in a paper mache - plaster paris model of our solar system that had to be twelve feet long and weighed at least 100 pounds! I remember Lenny and I sharing a corner of the project trying to navigate it through the classroom door, over the rows of desks and up to the front of the classroom where it was mounted and hung on the wall for years.
I knew his older brother Larry too and we all used to hang out around the Judd household listening to Jim Judd tell us stories. We drifted apart during high school but would often chat on my return trips to Waterford. Lenny had such a crazy laugh and shiny eyes. May he Rest in Peace. Ricci O'Reilly and Family.

Jess was moving in to her first apartment and Len was determined to put together her Ikea bed frame. Left alone by his wife and daughter, Len fought on. It was an impossible fight and I could tell Len needed some assistance, so I offered him a beer, and like Poppy he found the strength he needed to rise above the complex Ikea challenge and put together his daughter's bed!

Dear Terri, Amanda, and Jessica, I was saddened to hear that Len had died so suddenly this past Sunday. My sisters, Gwen and I, have many happy memories of Len when we would come to visit as children with my Mom, Len's Aunt Margaret and his Mom's sister. We would stay in the big old house before Uncle Jim built the pyramid. Len was a quiet guy who would often be found reading a book in his room. When he was older, I remember him working with his Dad making furniture. I always had the impression that he was an easy person to be with and kind hearted, though I didn't know him really well. My sister Jean remembers Len's infectious laughter and giggles. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. love from Beth and Aunt Margaret. (Gwen is away in South America at the moment; Jean will try and send you a message, if she can get some help with her computer.)

It was with deep sadness I got the news of Leonard's passing from Dean Wardell this morning(Tuesday). I had previously been thinking about Leonard Monday afternoon and today's news was a shock. I remember seeing him at the Vanessa store while I was pulling into town for yet another Teeterville Hall gig in the early 90s He introduced me to his daughters while he grinned from ear to ear. He was such a proud and happy Dad. My condolences to his wife, children, families and friends. I will miss him. Love Chris O'Brien
