Obituary of Sybren Woelinga

WOELINGA, Sybren (Steve); Peacefully in Palliative Care at Norfolk General Hospital on Friday June 1, 2007, of Waterford in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Claire (Fillion). Dear father of Wilma (& Bruce) MacDonald, Gerald (& Laurie), Harry (& Karen), & Richard (& Diane), all of Alberta. Step-father of Laurie Hoda, Stephen Fillion, Paul (& Deb), all of Alberta, & Lisa (& Les) Isaacs of Waterford. Grandfather of 6 grandchildren & 8 step-grandchildren. Brother of Hank, Gerri, Grace, & Ann. Steve worked for many years with Canadian Freight Base & Edmonton Transit. He was a member of the Moose Lodge Alberta, & Royal Canadian Legion in Alberta & Ontario. Following Steve's wishes, cremation has taken place and burial of ashes will be at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted with the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford. As expressions of sympathy the family would appreciate donations to Palliative Care N.G.H., Waterford United Church, Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.
