Dear Helen and family, We were very saddened to hear of the passing of Gerry. Gerry was a such a good life long friend to my Dad and such a good friend to our family. I can still remember meeting Gerry for the first time at his brother Vic's more than 35 years ago. This was the first time I had ever snowmobiled and remains a treasured memory of my childhood. When we moved to Brantford Gerry use to take me snowmobiling in the evening and we would travel around the county stopping at his many friends with frequent stops for "refreshments" it was a real social event. From that point in time I was hooked and snowmobiling remains a passion in my life even today. More recently we have enjoyed meeting up with Gerry and Helen at Port Dover with our family and I was glad that all of my kids had a chance to meet Gerry, his sense of humour and warm smile will be remembered by all of the MacDonalds. My mother (Helene) is in Mexico for the winter and she sends her deepest condolences to the family.

Our love and sympathy to Helen and family at this time. Know that we loved Jerry and were grateful to have been a part of his friendship network for so many years. He always made us laugh and the memories we have of him are priceless. You are so lucky to have called him dad and husband. We were privileged to call him friend. We will cherish him and fondly remember the good times.
