Obituary of LaVerne Carpenter

CARPENTER, LaVerne (Banjo); With the love of his family at his side at Hardy Terrace, Mt. Pleasant, on Tuesday March 4, 2008, in his 84th year. Beloved husband for 66 years to Carrie (MacDonald). Much loved father of Stan (& Joan), Glen (& Myris), Richard (& Lynn), Carl (& Colleen), Donald (& Colleen), Melvin, Deborah (& Larry) Noseworthy. Proud Grandpa of 19 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Dear brother of Fred (& Marjorie), Leoleon (& Gladys), Carl (& Ruth). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by infant daughter Barbara Jean, brothers Bill, Roy, and Earl. LaVerne had a great passion for his 40 year career as an auctioneer for both Norfolk and Brant County. Friends may call at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford, Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel Saturday at 2 pm. Rev. Allan Rietberg officiating.
