Obituary of Gerrit Hiemstra

HIEMSTRA, Gerry; After doing his regular Thursday morning routine, Gerry passed away at his residence in Waterford on Thursday March 27, 2014 in his 78th year. Loved husband for 54 years to Mary (Anseeuw). Loving father of David (and Julie), Paul (and Debbie), Karen (and Les) Van Dongen. Proud Grandpa of Carly, Janice, Jocelyn (and Joe), Lindsey (and Ryan), Brooke, Amy, Jeremy, and great grandchildren Nathaniel, Averie, and Brooklyn. Also survived by 2 sisters, sister-in-law Margaret and the late Jerome Vanhooren, nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will follow at a later date. As expressions of sympathy the family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
