Obituary of Dorothy Walker

WALKER, Dorothy; Living a full and happy life, Dorothy passed away peacefully with the love of her family on Sunday June 1, 2014, at Norfolk General Hospital, of Waterford in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Donald Walker. Loving mother of Wayne (and Carol), Wanda (and Ron) Goode, and Carol Ann. Much loved Grandma of Sherry (and Sean) Jackson, Carianne MacDonald, Brad, Tracey (and Lea) Misener and great grandchildren Nicole, Kenzie, Marcus, Phenix, and Sidney. Dear sister of Adeline Hill, Donald Winger, Earl Winger, Grant (and Marion) Winger. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Keith, Aubrey, Murral and sister Norma. Dorothy was devoted to her family, had a love of music, baking, and quilting, just to name a few, and was a long-time member of Waterford United Church. Friends may call at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford, Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel Thursday at 11am. Rev. John Maich and Rev. Jeff Smith officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Donations to Waterford United Church, Waterford District Community Foundation or Springvale Greenwood Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
