Obituary of Doreen Giles-Persall

Giles-Persall, Lois Doreen Peacefully, in her 85th year with her family by her side, she leaves husband Cliffe Persall, children Sharon (Dan) Scott, Judie (the late Garry)Dew, Doug (Linda) Valley and stepson Cameron (Lorraine) Persall; grandchildren Ainsley and Lindsay Scott, Jennifer Dew (Dennis), Jamie (Jessica) Dew, Geoff (Kristin) Dew, Chris (Nancy) Persall, Craig (Kelley) Persall and Terry-Lynne; great grandchildren Ricky, Dylan, Ryleigh, Sydney and Mackenzie. Also fondly remembered by special niece and nephew Dianne Lewis and Hugh Gilmour. Predeceased by husbands Percy Valley and William Giles. Doreen will be remembered for her dedication to her church, her selfless contributions to the Waterford Food Cupboard, the Norfolk General Hospital Auxiliary, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 123 and for her deep love of animals, especially her beloved puppy Suzie. She will be sadly missed by her family, her friends, and by all those to whose life she brought light and joy. Special thanks to Dr. Bobby, CCAC staff and the fourth floor NGH staff especially Amanda, whose compassion was truly wonderful. Friends may call at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford, Sunday July 13, 2014 1 to 4pm. Funeral Service will be held at Waterford Trinity Anglican Church Monday July 14, 2014 at 1pm. Rev. Sandy Sinnick officiating. Inurnment Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Trinity Anglican Church in Waterford, the Brant County SPCA or a charity of your choice.
