SLOAT, Valera (Valley): Suddenly as the result of a stroke at Brantford General Hospital, on Sunday June 1, 2008 of Waterford in her 75th year. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Bob Sloat. Loving mother of Marilyn (and Ron) Gordon, Ileen (and Gord) Morningstar, Darlene (and Don) Lancaster, David (and Anita), Bruce (and Lisa). Always loved Gramma of Ron, George, Ron, Charlene, Nathan, Nikolas, Tabaya, Michael, Thomas; great grandchildren Natasha, Cody, Erin, Mellissa, Jada, Wyatt, Luke. Dear sister of Ruth Attwell, Ken (and Brenda) Dawdy, sister-in-law Hazel Dawdy. Predeceased by grandsons Robert Gordon, Roger Fearman, brothers Victor, Alvin, Herb and Norm. Friends may call at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford, on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held Thursday 11 am. at Townsend Community Church. Rev. Ken Chase officiating.
