Obituary of Jean Laning

LANING, Vera Jean; Jean passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at Norfolk General Hospital on Wednesday December 24, 2014 of Villa Nova, in her 90th year. Beloved wife for 63 years to Robert H. Laning. Loving mother of Rob, Joanne (and Greg) Hall, Patti (and Dean) Mills, Jill (and Rick) Chuli, Scott (and Donna). Cherished Grandma of Joel (and Kricia), Aaron, Katherine, Meagan; Allison, Jane, Rory; Elaine, Ericka; Adam, Matthew, Marisa; and great grandchildren Aurora, and Natalia. Dear sister of Muriel Calder, and sisters-in-laws Kathleen Berney, Shirley (and George) Tucker. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Jim Bauer, and sister Joyce Agate. Friends may call at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford, Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 11am. Rev. Allan Burr officiating.
