Obituary of Regina Markowich

MARKOWICH, Regina (Herting): Of Cedarwood Gardens, Simcoe and formerly of Waterford. After 81 years of various health conditions, Regina passed away at Norfolk General Hospital, surrounded by those who loved her dearly on Tuesday August 5, 2008. Beloved wife and soul mate of the late Michael Markowich. Dear mother of Marie Knox (Wray), RR3 Vanessa. Loving grandmother of Kristopher (fiance Sarah Archibald); Korrie Leigh Coats (Jamie), who were the light of her life. Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Predeceased by a son Michael Jr. and her parents Peter & Gertrude (Lemche) Herting. Regina arrived in Canada in 1949; she was very devoted to her church. Special thanks to Dr. Callery and all other caregivers for their continuous support. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Regina's life at THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford, Thursday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral mass Friday at 10am at Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church, Thompson Rd., Waterford. Fr. T. Wolinski officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Panachyda Thursday at 7:30pm.
