I am so sorry for your loss, and extend my sincere condolences to your family. Although I did not know Miss Miller personally, it is clear that she touched many lives in her 84 years. What a blessing to have had such length of life! And her eulogy clearly indicates that she was a cherished sister, aunt and friend who will be sorely missed. It is painful losing such dear ones to death for we want to live and enjoy life with those we love. And if we only had the power to do so, we would bring our loved ones back to us. Please know that you can find true hope and comfort in the scriptures, for it reassures us that we can see our dead loved ones again. The Bible teaches that most people who have died will be resurrected. Jesus Christ himself promised that "those in the memorial tombs will...come out." (John 5:28, 29) In harmony with God's original purpose, those resurrected humans will have the opportunity to live on a paradise earth. (Luke 23:43) This promised future includes perfect health and everlasting life for obedient humans. The Bible reassures us that "the righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it." (Psalm 37:29) Other scriptures that bear witness to this are Job 14:14, 15; Luke 7:11-17; and Acts 24:15. Please take comfort in this hope and the future joy it holds out to us who, for now, grieve the loss of these we hold dear. May you continue to receive an abundance of love and emotional support during this difficult period. Most sincerely, Charvian
