Obituary of Michael Diakun

Diakun, Michael - of London at University Hospital on January 29th, 2009 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Olga (nee Lechow). Devoted father of Gregory, Marcia, Karen and Donna. Fun-loving grandfather to Aladdin, Montanna, Nathaniel, Eva and Paul. Survived by his dear brother John, nephews Roman and Michael and many cousins. Mike lived a rich life of friendship, travel and adventure. He leaves a loving legacy of insight, duty, perseverance and playfulness. Mike kept cheerfully busy with his many interests until his recent, final days. Funeral service will be held at the Thompson-Mott Funeral Home, 62 Main Street North, Waterford, Ontario on Monday, February 2nd at 1:00 p.m. Visitation from 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow, Greenwood Cemetery, Waterford. A celebration of Mike's life will be held at the Waterford Lions Community Centre following his internment.
