ROSE, Irene Margaret; Of Villa Nova, passed away Peacefully at Norfolk General Hospital on Saturday March 7, 2009 at the age of 74. Loving sister of Jim (&June) Rose and dear Aunt of several nieces & nephews in England. Beloved friend & partner of Carol Ford. Irene will be sadly missed by the MacFarlane family, the Yoshida family, the Trainor family, the Ford family to whom all these families she was an important part plus many friends. Predeceased by parents Jim & Louisa Rose, sister Maude & brother Bert. Irene had a natural ability to brighten any room she entered with a gleam in her eye and a "make your day" attitude. Irene had a love for the outdoors, loved to garden, loved all animals, her dogs Maggie, Pepper, & Brandi. Irene loved & enjoyed life to its maximum. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Wednesday April 15, 2009 at Villa Nova Baptist Church at 1:30pm. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to A.L.S. (Lou Gehrig's Disease).
