D'Hondt- Madeleine Irma, of Waterford: Passed away at Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home, Simcoe on Saturday November 14, 2009 in her 90th year. Born in Wevelgem, Belgium, daughter of the late Maurice and Marie DeCoutere and beloved wife of the late Aime D'Hondt (1970). She is survived by her loving children; Dolores Cleaver of Hamilton, Roger (Pat) D'Hondt of Belleville, Rita (Pierre) Benoit of Port Dover, Dennis (Kathi) D'Hondt of Waterford and Gloria D'Hondt of Langford BC, her 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Madeleine was predeceased by brothers Robert DeCoutere and Daniel DeCoutere. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. D'Hondt was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church in Waterford and a past president of the Catholic Women's League. She will fondly be remembered for her kind heart and generous spirit. Friends are invited to meet with the family at THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME in Waterford on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm and for C.W.L. Prayers at 3:00 pm and Parish Prayers at 7:30pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church in Waterford on Wednesday at 10:00am followed by Interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
