Obituary of Helen Korecki

KORECKI, Helen (nee Pawluk); Passed away at Norfolk General Hospital on Wednesday January 20, 2010, in her 88th year. Born September 9th, 1922 in Lipyboky, Ukraine; immigrated to Canada in 1927 with parents Konstantin Pawluk and Eunace (Homeniuk), and sister Vera; settling originally near Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Predeceased by husband John Korecki on August 21st, 1978. Loving mother of daughter Luba (Barchuk) and her husband Peter of Bewdley, son Myron and his wife Margaret (Vakaras) of Caledon, and daughter Olga (Duesling) and her husband Wayne of Waterford. She will be sadly missed by her 9 grandchildren; Michael, Debbie, Darlene, Shawn, Kevin, Jonathan, Shannon, Brendan, Ashley. She also leaves behind several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. An avid gardener, she will be remembered for her beautiful flower borders and bountiful garden which she gladly shared with her neighbours in Bloomsburg. The family will receive friends at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, 62 Main St. N., Waterford, Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A private family service will take place in the chapel. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Parkinsons Society would be greatly appreciated.
