Obituary of Margaret Bowers

BOWERS, Margaret Verna (Hamill) Our beloved Wife, Mother, Nanny and friend who lost a courageous battle for the life she loved so much. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, John Roderick of Waterford, her three children Rod Bowers (Shelley), Kelli Sims (Darryl), and Constance Schneider (Darryl). She is greatly missed by her six grandchildren, Joshua, Bruce, Kali, Danielle, Reid, Kaiden, Destiny, Mikala and predeceased by Brittany (1991). She met the love of her life late in the year of 1952 and was married a short time later on January 2, 1953. Together they built a life in Brantford, raising their three children and eventually settling in Waterford to grow many a garden, have many family dinners or corn roasts and enjoy many sleepovers with their grandchildren. Their lives were simple and their love was abundant. She would have celebrated her 73rd birthday on February 19th, instead we celebrate her life of nearly 73 years. She is predeceased by her parents Muriel (1993) and Tom Perry (1988). For the past five years, she was a patient of the Dialysis Unit at the Brantford General Hospital and will be greatly missed by her many friends, both fellow patients and nurses.
