Obituary of Dorothy Plumb

PLUMB, Dorothy; It is with sadness the family announces the death of Dorothy, on Tuesday April 20, 2010 at Norfolk General Hospital, of Port Dover, formerly of Waterford at the age of 87. Beloved wife for 63 years to James Plumb. Amazing and Loving mother of David (and Dianne), Diane (and Rick), Mark (and Irene), and Melanie. Devoted grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Dorothy will also be sadly missed by sister Evelyn Cox, brother Bob Roper, son-in-law Brad Wilson and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy proudly served in World War 2 under the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1943-1945, and was a member of Grace United Church, Port Dover. Friends may call at Grace United Church Port Dover, Friday 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held at Grace United Church on Saturday at 11am. Rev. Frank Walker officiating. Legion Service Friday 6:45pm. Interment Port Dover Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy the family would appreciate donations to Grace United Church or Royal Canadian Poppy Fund.
