Obituary of Stanley Proracki

PRORACKI, Stanley William; After a long and healthy life enjoying family and friends, Stan passed away Friday August 27, 2010 of Waterford in his 95th year. Beloved husband for 63 years to Olga M. (Dwornik). Loving father of Paul, Tony and Michelle, Ava and Rick Green, Lana and Ed Miskelly and daughter-in-law Gail. Proud Papa Stan of Alexander, Natalie, David, Nicholas, and Marta. Dear brother of Bernice Proracki. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by son Stan, brother Jake and Olga Proracki. Stan's working career included a position as Secretary for the Waterford Credit Union. During this time he farmed for over 50 years and served as original Director for the Tobacco Marketing Board. After farming Stan went back to school at the age of 60 to receive his diploma in Real Estate. Eventually Stan retired for good to spend more time with his grandchildren and his hobbies of woodworking, gardening and joke telling. Friends may call at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish Thursday at 10am. Fr. Allan Dufraimont and Fr. Jim Dunne officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy the family would appreciate donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Ronald McDonald House.
