Obituary of Walter Opersko

OPERSKO, Walter (Pinky) Max; Peacefully at home, RR#5 Waterford, on Tuesday October 19, 2010, in his 80th year. Beloved husband and life-time friend of Nancy (Goold). Devoted and loving father of Christine (and David) Duncan, Carolyn (and Stephen) Redgers, Suzanne Opersko, Dean (and Debbie). Proud Papa of Tamitha (and Adrian), Adam, Garrett, Jacklyn, Nicole, Devin, Dayna, and great grandchild Quinten. Dear brother of Betty Opersko. Also survived by sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 3 brothers and 5 sisters. Pinky farmed at the same residence for 57 years. He served for many years on the local Vegetable Growers Committee, and numerous years as Director of Ontario Processing Vegetable Growers. Pinky was also a member of local Farm Safety Association and N.F.A. Friends may call at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford, Thursday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel Friday at 11am. Rev. Dean Adlam officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery.
