DOHERTY, Margaret; After a brief illness, Margaret passed away at Norfolk General Hospital on Wednesday February 9, 2011, of Simcoe. Beloved wife of the late George Hellerud. Also predeceased by husbands Art Hutton, and Wilf Doherty. Loving mother of Carol (and Richard) Lefler, Joy (and Gordon) Appleton, David Hellerud, Scott (and Cyndi) Hellerud. Cherished Grandma of Tina (and Gerald), Kevin (and Sarah), Lisa (and Haskel), Erin (and Octavio), Rachel, Dana (and Ian), Kristen, and great grandchildren Mark, Emily, Abbey, and Ethan. Predeceased by daughter-in-law Linda Hellerud. Margaret was an avid baseball fan, enjoyed cooking and entertaining for family and friends and was an extensive world traveler. Over the years Margaret volunteered at Norfolk General Hospital, and was a member of Eventide Unit at Waterford United Church, Eastern Star, and Legion Auxiliary. Friends may call at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford Saturday from 12:30 until service in the chapel at 2:30pm. Rev. Murray Barnet officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy the family would appreciate donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Simcoe and District Humane Society.
