MARTENS-BENNINGER, Adele; After a long and courageous battle, Adele died peacefully with her family by her side at Norfolk General Hospital on Wednesday March 2, 2011 at the age of 58. Beloved wife of Jim Benninger. Loving mother of Sheri Robinson (and Terry Meyer), Angela (and Scott) Parker, Dan ( and Lynn) Benninger, Randy (and Tracy) Benninger, Sharon Benninger. Cherished Grandma of Kaitlyn, Mitchel, Rayse, Avery, Dustin, Rem, Hunter, Reid, Macaulay, and great grand daughter Myia. Loved sister of Debbie (and Carter) Thomas, Dianne (and Pete) Smith, Cathy (and Barry) Sugrue, Donna Siemens. Always loved daughter of Muriel (and the late Ellard) Traynor. Adele will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by father Arnold Phenix. Friends may call at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held Saturday in the chapel at 11am. Rev. Larry Wiegand officiating. As expressions of sympathy the family would appreciate donations to Breast Cancer Foundation.
