Obituary of George Muller

MULLER, George; It is with great sadness and a sense of loss that we, the family of George Muller, announce his passing from this life on Wednesday, March 16th, 2011 at the Norfolk General Hospital. George was the loving, beloved soul mate, friend, and partner of his darling wife Else for 64 years. Together, our parents, through selfless devotion, built a wonderful life for their family, instilling a strong sense of family. Their love immeasurable, our mother greatly mourns his loss. George (our Georgie) was the most dearly loved father of Heidi and Bernie Restivo, Walter and Nadine Muller, Annette and Mike Blake. For us, he was the consummate father. For his granddaughters, Kristi, Gena and Alyssa, through the years he was Ampa, Grampa, friend, mentor, humorist, philosopher, repository of incredible knowledge and always the font of wisdom. George Muller was the dearly loved grandfather of Kristi and Dennis Desjardins, Gena Restivo and Eric Grundy, Alyssa Restivo and her husband Andrew Kett, Rebecca Muller and Tamara Muller. Husband, father and grandfather, George was a man of quiet dignity who walked his path of life with heart, kindness, generosity towards all, strong moral conviction and respect for self and others. We, his children, have been blessed to have been his progeny; a part of his life. He shall remain in our minds, hearts and family lore forever. Walk with God. May you now rest in peace. In keeping with George's wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment of ashes followed by a private memorial gathering and celebration of George Muller's life will take place at a later date.
