Obituary of Ahafia Lachowsky

LACHOWSKY, Ahafia (nee Palij); Born in Slavsko Ukraine, December 7, 1925, and passed away peacefully at Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe, Ontario Thursday April 23, 2015, of Waterford in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Peter Lachowsky. Devoted mother of Genya Lachowsky-Moore, Bohdan (and Jan), Slava (and Robert) Shiell, Myron, Marika (and the late Michael) Howard, Steve (and Patricia), Vasylko, Taras. Loving Baba of 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins both in Canada and Ukraine. Predeceased by daughter Marika, son Ivan, sisters Marika, and Anastasia, brothers Bohdan, and Ivan. Friends may call at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford, Sunday 6-8pm. Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church Monday at 10:00 am. Fr. Bohdan Mironovich officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Panachyda Sunday at 6:00 pm.
