Obituary of Don (Donnie) Kott

KOTT, Don (Donnie); Peacefully at Hardy Terrace Nursing Home, Mt. Pleasant, on Saturday May 30, 2015 of Mt. Pleasant in his 86th year. Loving husband of Dianne (Bell) and the late Betty (Beres). Beloved father and Gramp, Don is survived by his daughter Sarah (and Grant) and grandchildren Thomas, Bridget, Abigail, and William Beitz. Loved step-father of Shaunne (and Ruta) Melnyk and their children Seija, and Thais, Laurel (and Merv) Camacho and their children Robert, Christopher, and Kenneth. Dear cousin of Gerry and Dorothy Kott. Cherished son of the late Alma Kott and grandson of the late Katrina Kott. Cherished nephew of the late Ann (and late John) Charno, the late Mary (and late Joe) Cruise, the late Paul (and late Frances) Kott, the late Harry (and Jean) Gural. Don was a member of Scotland Masonic Lodge No.193 A.F. & A.M., a volunteer fire fighter for over 40 years for the Mt. Pleasant Community Fire Hall and a retired shop teacher from Burtch Correctional Facility, and participated in many volunteer organizations in the community. Friends may call at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford, Wednesday June 3, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel Thursday at 11am. Rev. Ross Fogwell officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Masonic Service Wednesday at 6:30pm. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to charity of choice. Don will be missed by Dolly, Jimmy, and Trixie.
