Obituary of Donald Hugh Vivian

VIVIAN, Donald “Hugh” – With profound sadness the family announces the passing of Hugh at Brantford General Hospital on Sunday July 19, 2015 of Waterford in his 79th year. Beloved husband for 26 years to Joan (Cooper). Loving father of Darlene Workman (and Dennis), Stephen (and Dawn) Vivian, Kari (and Dan) Bowden, Craig (and Tracey) Bissett, and the late Douglas Bissett. Loved Grandpa of Kelly, Jessica (and Bryan), Cody, Doug, Reilly, Foster, and great grandchildren Addison, and Aubree. Dear brother-in-law of Carole (and the late Glen) Dougherty, Barbara (and the late Doug) Mastervick. Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Predeceased by parents Lloyd and Helen Vivian, father and mother-in-law Morley and Nora Cooper. Hugh’s family owned and operated Vivian Mill in Oakland for 5 generations. Hugh was involved with music, playing in bands, and had a love for horses. Friends may call at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel Thursday at 1pm. Rev. Jeff Smith officiating. Cremation will take place and interment of ashes will be at Oakland Cemetery at a later date.
