We are unable to attend the funeral service, but want to express our sorrow at Charlie`s passing. We have known Charles for over 40 years and have been entertained many times by his opinions and thoughts on any subject. We will miss his telephone calls, his invitations to Lion`s Club outings, and our regular Thursday evening dinners together. We attended many company dances when Charlie was the emcee and had many good times together, with Charles and with his dearest Helen. As much as Charlie and Keith disagreed, he was always a gentleman to Jeannette, and always appreciated any small favour done for him. We will miss him. Our prayers and thoughts extend to all of his family. Keith & Jeannette

Sending my deepest condolences to Charlie's family, I am deeply saddened to learn of his passing. I worked at McCallum Transport for many years with Charlie, and we have continued to stay in touch over the years even though distance kept us from seeing one another as often as we would have liked. Rest in peace my friend.

I learned of Charlie's passing from two close neighbours last night. I spoke with his sister Linda this morning. As a friend and neighbour for 35 years, I really enjoyed Charlie and of course Helen through all the years. In fact , they cam to our house back then as Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus to entertain my two young daughters...with presents too. Our entire neighbourhood, always knew when he was milling about on his scooter. He collected pop cans for charity and kept the parks free of debris that would pollute. He had many friends at the Lions club and he and I had many long chats about any subject. I called him the mayor and once put a sign on his lawn and blamed it on another(lol) He had an opinion on many issues and did not mind telling me his was better. I am sorry to see this day come, but he told me many times, he really loved Helen and missed her so much. He put up with many ailments and did better with limited resources than many would have. I suppose he has got back into his big rig truck loaded with "car" memories and gone to see the love of his life. God bless you Charlie! John & Theresa
