Obituary of Leo Giroux

GIROUX, Leo; With deepest sorrow, the family of Leo A. Giroux of Waterford surrounded him as he quietly released his last breath following a lengthy illness on Tuesday February 26, 2013. Leo is survived by his wife Valerie, his children Stephanie (and Barry) Halliday, Joyce (and Calum) Rees, Brad (and Patti), Jennifer (and Tim) Hewitson. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Jessica, Breanna, Alexia, Tristan, Braillyn, Jacob, Avery, Finley, and Connor. Leo will also be sadly missed by his wonderful siblings, Melbert (and Dorothy), Paul (and Marilyn), Josephine (and Bill) Severin, Helen (and Riley) O'Brien, Alice (and Rick) Clark, Anita Lucas, step-mother Edna, and step-siblings Raymond, Shirley, and Marilyn. His is predeceased by his parents Leo and Albina, sister Rhea (and Bill), and step-sister Arlene. Leo involved himself in his community as a former baseball coach, midget hockey coach as a volunteer advisor, and a chartered member of the Optimist Club of Waterford. He was the owner of Water Simple Pure and an affiliate of Try Aqua Water Treatment. Friends may call at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford Friday 7-9pm and Saturday 1pm until service time at 2pm. Rev. Matthew Turvey officiating. Cremation to follow.
