Carrie Aileen Carpenter October 7, 1925-March 4, 2013 Carrie was blessed with two wonderful parents Leo and Verna MacDonald. Her childhood was shared in a happy home with 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Carrie then met and married Laverne Carpenter. They were together 55 years before Lavernes' passing in 2008. They were blessed with 6 sons and 2 daughters: Stan (and Joan), Glen (and Myris), Richard (and Lynn), Carl (and Colleen), Donald (and Colleen), the late Melvin (and Nicole), Deborah (and Larry) Noseworthy. Proud Grandma of 19 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Predeceased by brothers Harold, Ray; sisters Laura, Jean, Doris, and Gladys. Carrie spent many years working alongside her auctioneer husband Laverne as a bookkeeper. She told stories of much laughter and fun working with friends in tobacco as well. More recently Carrie enjoyed shuffleboard, her coffee club and her weekly meetings with her Tapo friends. Her largest passion in life was always her family. Friends may call at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford, on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Service in the chapel Saturday at 11 am. Rev. Peter Lamont officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. In memory of Carrie and her love for animals, donations to Simcoe and District Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
