Obituary of DOROTHY EVELYN MASSECAR

MASSECAR, Dorothy Evelyn (nee: Shearer) – Born July 6, 1912 in Vittoria on their family farm and died Saturday November 12, 2016 at Parkview Meadows, Townsend at the age of 104. Beloved wife of the late Ray Massecar. Loving mother of Mary Skirrow, Ora (and the late Glenn) Walz, twins Jean (and John) Misener, Joan (and the late John) Paisley. Cherished grandmother of 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren. Dorothy taught school for a short time at the Cherry Valley School. Dorothy's life was in the Waterford Baptist Church where she played the organ for several years. She travelled as much as she could to the East Coast and West Coast and to the Holy Land. She moved to Parkview Meadows 8 years ago where she found the Christian atmosphere brought peace to her. A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday November 16, 2016 at Waterford Greenwood Cemetery at 1pm. Rev. Al Sedgwick officiating. As expressions of sympathy the family would appreciate donations to C.N.I.B, Parkview Meadows, or Waterford Baptist Church.
