Obituary of JEAN KATHLEEN SHURR

SHURR, Jean – Of Waterford in her 95th year, on Monday November 21, 2016, at the Norfolk General Hospital Nursing Home quietly went home to be with her Lord. Dear wife of the late Carl Shurr. Loving mother of Susan (and Ron) Heidman of Parry Sound, Peter Shurr, John (and Vivian) Shurr all of Waterford, Dan (and Karen) Shurr of Guelph. Very caring and connected grandmother to 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Predeceased by sisters Dora, and Vera and brother Arthur. Jean was an active and involved member of Boston Baptist Church and community for most of her life. A huge Thank You to hospital staff at Norfolk Hospital and Nursing Home staff at Norfolk General Hospital 4th floor. Friends may call at Thompson-Mott Funeral Home, Waterford, Thursday November 24, 2016 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Boston Baptist Church Friday at 11 am. Pastor Mike Woods officiating assisted by Pastor Jamie Shurr (grandson) and Pastor Andrew Heidman (grandson). Luncheon will be held at the church immediately following the service with interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Waterford, at 2 pm. Donations to Rural Life Mission, Hagersville, Fellowship Aid and International Relief (FAIR) or charity of choice would be appreciated by the family
