Obituary of JOHN RICHARD WHITTAKER

WHITTAKER, John Richard – Peacefully with his daughter-in-law by his side at Briarwood Gardens Brantford on Thursday February 16, 2017 formerly of Waterford at the age of 76. Beloved husband of the late Pat (Harper). Loving father of Brad (and Kathryn), Warren, Pam, and Kathleen. Proud grandpa and papa of Angela (and Allan), Andrew, Tamren, Michael, Trevor, Nikkole, Farisha, Becca and many great grandchildren. Dear brother of Joan Young, and Marilyn Miller. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Harry and Eva Whittaker, and sister Joyce Young. John was proud to serve the community of Waterford as owner of John's Esso and sponsoring Waterford hockey teams over the years. John then went on to Canadian Blue Bird where he was employed for 20 years. Friends may call at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford Tuesday February 21, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday February 22, 2017 at 11am. Rev. Dean Adlam officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
