GIBBONS, Patrick Gerard – Passed away at Hardy Terrace on Wednesday August 16, 2017 in his 70th year. Eldest son of the late Jim and Sue Gibbons of Hartford. Loving brother to Paul (Debbie) Gibbons, Jim Gibbons (Rosemary Madensky), Susan Duesling (Dan Hutchinson). He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews Amanda, Arika, Jessica, Erin, Becky, Greg, and Bailey. Pat lived a very full and active life. He was the first student to attend the Jane Laycock School, (Lansdowne Children's Center) in Brantford. He spent many years working on the family farm. Later he lived independently through the auspice of NACL working in their Ventures Café. He was employed at various businesses in Simcoe; Colborne Veterinary Clinic with Dr. Dave Horton. Ending his career at Al Shoes often receiving employee of the month along with many hugs. Pat was active showing ponies at the Simcoe Fair, marching in parades and his favourite line dancing. His love for country music especially Patsy Cline took him and his caring travel partners to attend Havelock Country Jamboree. A special thank you to Penny Buysee, his caregiver and friend for many years. Also to the supporting staff at Hardy Terrace. A Celebration of Pat's life will be held at the home of Paul and Debbie Gibbons, 2217 Old Hwy. 24, Scotland on Saturday September 9th from 1-4pm.
