I was fortunate to meet and know Adam in Asia. He was full of vitality and a love for life. He loved visiting new places and having new experience. I was one of the lucky few that he would drag around Seoul to out-of-the-way restaurants for truly unique culinary experiences. I was also lucky enough to have been to many of the shows that Adam played with his close friends in the 40 days. I still have a copy of their song, "Jericho", that Adam wrote. It is a beautiful song. I'll always remember Adam and the rest of the 40 days absolutely rocking a party at the British Consulate in Seoul.
Adam stayed with me when I moved to the city he loved, Bangkok. His already vital person seemed to respond to the Big Mango's completely unique energy. The last time I saw Adam in person was when he stayed with me near Soi Rangnam right before I moved back to the States. I can picture him smiling and telling stories in my living room.
Rest in peace, my fine friend.

I went to high school with Adam eons ago and haven’t seen him since, and yet he is one of the most memorable people I can think of. I can picture his smile, laugh, and even his very long hair!
Even as a teenager he had spoke of this big life he would live. He spoke of being Prime Minister. He spoke of all kinds of schemes with his big brother, who he idolized. He even spoke of following the Grateful Dead (professionally!).
He was loyal and smart and I remember him well. I’m glad he got the big life he wanted. It sounds like he was important to many.

John (and family), I am so very sorry for your loss. I hope that amid your terrible sorrow, the love and compassion of those around you and memories of happy times with Adam (eventually) lessen your burden over his loss.

We are so saddened to hear of Adam’s tragic passing, words cannot express how we feel. Adam and brother Jason are both known to our family, having been school friends years ago and our son, Tim, roomed with Adam in Ottawa during university days. Our deepest condolences to the Caruana family at the sudden loss of your son, such a fine young man. It is hard to understand why he would be taken away so soon. Our deepest sympathies and hearts go out to you, and please know that you are in our thoughts at this difficult time. We cannot imagine the grief you are going through.
Bob and Janet Miller and sons Jason, Bob jr and Tim.

I'm very sad to hear that Adam passed away. I was lucky enough to have played music with Adam when I lived in Korea. He always had a smile and something clever and funny to say and had a big heart. He will be missed by many.

Adam was everybody's favourite person in Korea. Simply put, a great chap. Playing and recording music with him was very special, and he was missed by many when he decided to move on to the next chapter of his life. It saddens me to know we'll never run into each other, or make noise together... But every moment is treasured, and every memory is cherished. My heart is with Jay and their parents. Big hugs from Seoul, Korea - a place Adam once called home.

I was truely saddened when I heard about the passing of Adam. Though I hadn't had contact with him in many years I have great memories of the time he spent in our home as a teenager and what a good friend he was to my son Jason Barna. He was funny, respectful, smart and an excellent cook. He was a joy to be around. My heart goes out to the family to lose someone so special. My prayers and thoughts are with you during this very tough time.

This news makes me very sad. Adam and Jason were a big part of my high school experience. Yes, many years ago but lasting memories. Adam was a sweet, big hearted soul who used to call me "Bae" before it was a thing. It doesnt surprise me that he chose to live abroad...he was a free spirit. Jason, my deepest condolences to you and your family.

Our deepest sympathies to the Caruana family. I have known Jason for almost 20 years, and knew very well how much Adam was loved; how much Adam bettered the lives of those around him and the light he created in the lives of all who he met. He will be fondly remembered, always. Jason & Sunhee Smith
