I am so saddened to read this. My mother and I used to come to Canada often to see Jim and Karen. They probably remember me best from the second I walked in the door from our long road trip there, I’d have to immediately run to the bathroom. Karen would say, “Where’s Jen?” Jim would say, “She shot to the bathroom before hugging us again.” I remember riding on tractors with both Jim and Karen. We would drive past cemeteries and Jim convinced me that if I didn’t hold my breath, the spirits would rise. Everyone would be silently breathing while I’m running out of breath! My mother and I stayed with Karen when my Grandmother passed away in March, 2010. That is the last time I saw her. I will be praying for the family, and will forever hold these memories in my heart.
