GOFF, Stephen Robert – Surrounded by the love of his family, Stephen Robert Goff passed away peacefully at Norfolk General Hospital on Tuesday February 1, 2022. Dearly loved husband and soul mate of Carol (Cumin). Beloved father of Teresa (and James), Brian (and Kyla), Carolyn, Doug, Meegan (and Wayne). Joyful and fun-loving Papa to Caeleb, Griffin, Amon, Maya, Kianna, Will, Sage, Lillian, Ethan, Alex, and Piper. Lovable brother of Jim (and Susan), Sharon (and Mickey) and loved brother-in-law of Isabelle (and Jack) Turnbull and the late Bob (and Joyce) Cumin. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and community. Predeceased by his parents Bruce and Irene Goff and George and Gertie Cumin. Steve received much joy spending time with his children and grandchildren. Whenever Steve walked into a room, he brought with him such joy and a smile to light up the room. Steve had a great love for baseball, hockey, and animals, especially cats. Steve was an advocate for people living with aphasia and spent many years in the community helping others find their voice. Steve was instrumental in bringing the first Aphasia Camp to Canada in 2008. Family and friends will be received at Thompson-Mott Funeral Home, Waterford on Sunday February 6, 2022 from 1-3pm. Funeral Service will be held at Waterford United Church on Monday February 7, 2022 at 11am. Rev. Allan Burr officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Masks and social distancing are required. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Adult Recreation Therapy Centre designated to aphasia programs and camps which can made through canadahelps.org or Norfolk General Hospital.
