Obituary of ZOFIA ZAWADA

ZAWADA, Zofia – After a courageous battle with cancer, Zofia passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Niagara General Hospital on Sunday March 6, 2022 at the age of 77. Beloved wife for 46 years to Walter Zawada. Loving “rock star” mom of Carol (and Chris) Morley, Angela Zawada (and Graeme Bell). Cherished Babcia of Owen, Benjamin, Sofia; Ty, and Logan. Dear sister of Andrzej (and the late Maria) Trela. Predeceased by brother Kazmer (and Jasia) Trela. Zofia graduated in Econimics from Lublin University in Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1974. Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish on Thursday March 10, 2022 at 11am. Fr. Augustine Ogundele officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Zofia can be made to Juravinski Hospital.
