Obituary of JOSEPHINE ROMANIUK

ROMANIUK, Josephine – peacefully at Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home, Simcoe on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Fred Romaniuk. Cherished mother of Bob (Irene), Katherine Giles (Daryl) and the late Roman. Loving grandmother of Jennifer, Roman (Valerie), Daryl (Sarah), Leanne, Lana (Geoff), Bobby (Doreen) and Lisa. Great grandmother of Andrew, Skyler, Grace, Kelsey, Tatum, Farah, Brent, Karter, Khloe, Kaine, Keeleigh & Katie. Josephine is survived by her sisters Stephanie and Veronica and by family in Ukraine. Josephine immigrated to Canada in 1948 settling in Brantford, then along with her husband Fred they moved to the Bealton area. Affectionately known to many as “BABA” she was an amazing cook, and no one left her residence hungry or without some of her favorite perogies or desserts. Family and friends will be received at the Thompson Mott Funeral Home, Waterford on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, from 1- 2 p.m. a Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Alan Burr officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery to follow.
