Please share a memory of WENDY to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

CONNELL, Wendy – It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Wendy on Sunday August 28, 2022 of Wilsonville at the age of 68.  Beloved wife of Claude Puillandre.  Loving mother of Mike (and Carolyn) Puillandre, Scott (and Lisa) Puillandre.  Cherished grandmother of Clark Puillandre.  Dear sister and sister-in-law of Daye (Bob) Sutherland, Claire Connell, Gord (and Wendy) Connell, Joelle Puillandre.  Loved daughter-in-law of Marie Puillandre.  Wendy will also be sadly missed by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  Wendy came from a small family but had a very large chosen family that spanned across Norfolk County, Oxford County, Waterloo Region and beyond. She had many chosen sons, daughters, brothers and sisters that will miss her dearly.  Throughout her 30+ years in the museum industry, Wendy was a respected mentor to hundreds of student employees and a beloved colleague to many others.  Upon retirement, she left behind a legacy of hands-on programming, water education, community leadership, and a no-bs approach that she often softened with offerings of Paris donuts.  Wendy was exceptionally fond of her sons, grocery dates with Claude, watching her grandson, Wilsonville Town Hall meetings, pie nights, watching birds from her back deck, romance novels, french fries and ice cream.   We love and remember Wendy for her ability to share a smile or a laugh with anyone, her intelligence, passion,  and her kind heart that saw her offer help to anyone who needed it.  A casual, outdoor drop-in celebration of Wendy will be held on Saturday, September 10th from 1pm - 4pm at the farm (652 Norfolk County Rd 19 East, Wilsonville) - please bring a lawn chair if you want to stay for a drink or two.  In lieu of flowers, we ask that you’d honour Wendy by donating to the Waterloo-Wellington Children’s Groundwater Festival.  Please contact Beatriz Gomez at waterfestival@wwcgf.com or 289-234-3730
