Obituary of MARY ELEANOR FERGUSON

FERGUSON, Mary – With heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Mary surrounded by the love of her family, on Tuesday June 4, 2024, of Waterford at the age of 71.  Beloved wife for 44 years to Eric Ferguson.  Loving Mother of Chris, Paul (and Melody), Stephen (and Sara).  Devoted grandma of Kaylee, Leela, Deklan, and Everleigh.  Loved daughter of Kathleen and the late, Henry Perry.  Dear sister and sister-in-law of Susan (and Andy) Nerska, Joan Perry (and David McCracken), late David (and Kathy) Perry,  Ron (and Helen) Ferguson, Philip Ferguson (and Ratu).  Mary will also be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Mary enjoyed her chosen career as an E.C.E. Teacher for many years, saying it never felt like work, spending time and working with children. She then became a stay at home Mom cherishing every moment with her three boys.  Mary also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and often reached out with a friendly chat or ‘joke’ of the day.

  Family and friends will be received at Thompson-Mott Funeral Home, Waterford on Friday June 14, 2024, from 6-8pm.  Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday June 15, 2024, at 11am.  Celebrant Candace Hemsley officiating. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Norfolk Haldimand Community Hospice.
