AUGUST 25, 1926 - NOVEMBER 21, 2024

 The family of Ross Slack with sadness and gratitude announce his peaceful passing at Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home surrounded by the love of his family on Thursday November 21, 2024, at the age of 98.  Beloved husband to Fern (Hall) for 77 years.  Loving father of Lynell (and the late Jack) Hallema, Orval (and Daphne), Sheryl (and Doug) Galer, Diane (and Larry) Zelem, Wanda (and Ted) McLellan.   Proud Grampa and Papa of 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.  Ross is survived by 2 siblings.  He was predeceased by his parents Jabez and Lelah Slack, and 9 siblings.  Dad lived in Rockford for over 70 years where he and Mom farmed and raised their children.  An active and long-time member of Rockford United Church and later Mount Zion United Church.  Dad enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.  Family and friends will be received at Thompson-Mott Funeral Home on Tuesday November 26, 2024, from 10:30am until service time at 11:30am.  Interment Waterford Greenwood Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or Colborne Village United Church.
