I have mailed a letter to Sharon. Your mother was a lovely, caring and hardworking woman. She was a great influence on my life. She loved me like one of her own, placing a mustard plaster on my chest to cure a cold, tea bags on my eye to cure my sty and always had a clean, crisp choir gown ready for me on Sunday. I think of her every time I am in my garden. She faithfully wrote to me every Christmas. I am thinking of you all at this time and how much you will miss this dear lady. Love, Fran (Walton).
