Obituary of Olive Walker

WALKER, Olive Leone; Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at the Norfolk General Hospital on Thursday April 6, 2006, formerly of Vanessa in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Howard Walker. Devoted mother of Joan (& Donald) Hughes, Murray (& Gail), Harold (& Yvonne), Wayne (& Evelyn), Gerald (& Mary May), Sharon (& the late Terry) Anderson, Garry (& Gail). Cherished Grandma of 25 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, & 4 great great grandchildren. Foster mother of Ed Howard-Smith, & Fran Walton. Predeceased by brother Mike House, sister Mildred Blenkinsop, & caring friend Fred Miller. Olive was a dedicated member of Vanessa United Church, life member of Vanessa U.C.W., member of Wilvancrest Women�s Institute, & Moose Lodge. Olive was a foster parent for many years for the local Children�s Aid Society. Friends may call at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford, Monday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 11am. Rev. Robert Parr officiating. Interment Vanessa Cemetery.
