Obituary of Kenneth Moore

DR. KENNETH WILLIAM MOORE (D.V.M.); Peacefully after a long & courageous battle with Muscular Dystrophy at Norfolk General Hospital on Friday January 19, 2007, in his 69th year. Dr. Moore is survived by his wife Ellen (nee Fromm). Lovingly remembered & admired by his four children, Jennifer & Darryl Mels, John & Kelly, Robert, Jane & Marco Reyes. Proud Poppa of Devon & Sarah Mels; Lauren & Brett Moore, Benjamin Reyes. Survived by sisters Mary Beard, Ruth Ann & Larry Moser, brother Gordon & Sherrie, & sister-in-law Diane Moore. Predeceased by parents William & Marian Moore & brother Donald. Ken led a very active life as a respected veterinarian and owned Colborne Veterinary Clinic until 1981. Ken moved on to share his knowledge with Agriculture Canada until his retirement in 1991. Ken continued to remain involved in the local community as a Trustee with the Norfolk Board of Education, Council Member with Norfolk County, & member of the Waterford Lions Club. Ken served at Villa Nova Baptist church as Trustee for 17 years, was an active Deacon, Church Council as well as serving on various committees. Ken was passionate about his family, farming, bridge, hockey, minor ball, politics & the activities of his children & grandchildren. Friends may call at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford Monday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Memorial Service will be held at the Villa Nova Baptist Church Tuesday at 1:30pm. Rev. Julie Ann Morton officiating. A private family interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery. a Lions Service Monday at 6:30pm. In lieu of flowers donations to MD Association, Waterford Camp Trillium or Huntington�s Chorea would be appreciated by the family.
