We became familiar with Jerome as he had the contract to do all painting for our lighthouse at Long Point...a significant job. Both of us got to know Jerome over the period of about two years it took to complete the work and thought very highly of him both professionally and as a person. It was also apparent Jerome stood in high regard with builders and persons of all sort in Norfolk. We have heard about Jerome's death here at our home in New Zealand where we spend the winter and we are sorry we cannot be there with you on this sad occasion. Please be assured that our thoughts and prayers are with you Margaret from far away. We will miss Jerome.
