Obituary of Jerome Vanhoorne

VANHOOREN, Jerome August; Suddenly at his home in Waterford, on Friday January 18, 2008, in his 74th year. Beloved husband for 50 years to Margaret (Anseeuw). Loving father of Brian (and Judy), Ed (and Sue), Marcel (and Debbie). Proud Pepe of Taylor, Bradley, Christopher, Kyle, and Shanaya. Dear brother of Maria (and Gaston) Geysens, Godelieve (and Andy) Nolf, Willy (and Susan) Vanhooren, Irene (and Martin) Gubesch, Marcel (and Darlene) Vanhooren and brother-in-law of Mary (and Gerry) Hiemstra. Jerome will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Jerome learned his trade in painting in Belgium and came to Canada in 1951, and 50 years ago he started a family business in which he was still actively involved with, working along side of his sons. Friends may call at The THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish on Tuesday at 11 am. Fr. Jim Dunne officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Parish Prayers Monday 6:30 pm. Donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.
