Many years have passed and I woke up this morning with Lyle's name in a dream... Back in the 70's Lyle and I used to share rides back and forth to Simcoe as we worked the same shift at the OPP... I remember one early morning on our way home from work Lyle owned a mini and turned the corner off of 3 Hwy to Blue line and we slid down into the ditch... we were both luck and Lyle said lets push her out and jump in... looking back, what an experience that was... he was quite a guy and had a way about him with that smile... never have forgotten him over the years in memory but not in contact... my condolences to the family, just thought I would share... I'm very sorry to hear of Lyle's passing. I remember him as a very great man who was always there when I needed him. He was always happy!!! Never once do I ever remember seeing Grampa Binkley in a bad mood. It's been over 20 years since he was a part of my life but I've thought of him and Gramma Binkley often through the years. Rest in Peace Grampa Binkley. xoxoxo Mandy

Sorry to hear of Lyle's passing.
We remember Lyle and Gwen and the kids as good neighbours and friends in Flamborough.
Was it Lyle that used to slow down on O'field Road with a load of peas on the way to Tip Top Canners in Greensville?
I think of you all whenever I drive up the 4th concession...

Lyle was the man you went to at the OPP if you needed help, especially the court bureau. He saved many an officer by identifying their mistakes before it made its way to the the Judge.... He was missed at the office when he retired, now sadly missed in life.Lyle was a kind and good hearted gentleman.

I didn't know Lyle as long as I would have wanted but...I will always remember a smile that could light up a room. To Lyle's family, it was our pleasure to know him but it would have been so much better if we could have known him longer. Our sincere condolences to all who have loved such a remarkable man.

I was very sorry to hear of your father's passing. I saw him not long ago at Cedarwood and we had a pleasant chat. My father, Tom Myers, always had a very deep respect for Lyle. They served on the OPP together at the Simcoe detachment. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time. Ida Boufford
